1-800-LAW-FIRM Founder, Ari Kresch, opened an office in San Juan, Puerto Rico in January 2017. This new location enables 1-800-LAW-FIRM to provide a wider scope of services to both clients and partnering law firms in the growing consumer protection sector on the mainland as well as in Puerto Rico.
Hurricane Maria Relief
Puerto Rico made headlines in September 2017 when Hurricane Maria hit the island. This storm is now known as the worst natural disaster on record in Puerto Rico. It also was the 10th most intense Atlantic hurricane on record worldwide.
Hurricane Maria left the island in great disarray with excessive, devastating damages. This included absolute destruction of their electrical grid. Nearly 3 months after hurricane Maria, one third of the island is still without power. As of November 2017, 499 people were killed by the storm in Puerto Rico. This does not include the many others who lost their lives in surrounding areas.
The catastrophic damage from hurricane Maria still affects the country today and donations are needed for relief efforts. If you want to help, please consider a donation to the Foundation below.
